David Hasselhoff enjoys rare hiking excursion in California following knee surgery

Television legend David Hasselhoff made a rare public appearance on Monday, enjoying a revitalising hike through the hills of Calabasas.

The 73-year-old Baywatch icon was joined by his wife, Hayley Roberts, 45, for the outdoor excursion. Both opted for comfortable athletic attire, with Mr Hasselhoff wearing a white t-shirt and baseball cap, while utilising two hiking poles to assist him across the sun-drenched terrain.

The outing is a significant milestone for the actor, who has spent much of the past year focused on his physical health.

In May 2025, Mr Hasselhoff revealed he had undergone a full knee replacement surgery after being spotted in a wheelchair at Los Angeles International Airport.

At the time, he shared that he was in considerable pain; however, his latest appearance suggests a successful recovery as he navigated the trails with steady progress and a positive demeanour.

Ms Roberts, dressed in matching attire and a teal cap, walked closely beside her husband during the walk.

While the couple has remained relatively private in recent months, they were seen enjoying the California sunshine together before the actor returns to his various professional commitments.

Mr Hasselhoff remains best known for his definitive role as Mitch Buchannon in the original Baywatch series, which aired for over a decade.

While a new reboot featuring a fresh cast is currently in development, the veteran actor continues to engage with his loyal fanbase through diverse projects.

Notably, he recently promoted a new video game title in November 2025 and appeared in the project Haunted by Fame earlier that autumn.
