Todrick Hall reveals unexpected Taylor Swift favorite, praises ‘Style’
The performer names a 1989 classic as his standout Swift favorite.
Todrick Hall is revisiting his admiration for Taylor Swift and revealing that his favorite track from the global pop star comes from an earlier era than fans might expect.
Speaking with People at the opening night of Cats: The Jellicle Ball in New York City on April 7, Hall shared that his standout pick is “Style,” a hit from Swift’s 2014 album 1989.
“One of my favorite songs is ‘Style,’” Hall said, noting that the track’s signature guitar intro instantly transports him.
He praised the song’s craftsmanship, calling it “well written” and highlighting Swift’s ability to tell vivid stories through her lyrics.
The choice is notable given Hall’s close creative ties with Swift during her later Reputation and Lover eras.
He appeared as a dancer in her 2017 “Look What You Made Me Do” music video and later served as co-executive producer on 2019’s “You Need to Calm Down.”
Swift has previously commended Hall’s contributions, describing him as a generous collaborator who played a key role behind the scenes — from casting and creative direction to overall production support.
Beyond his past collaborations, Hall also reflected on his own stage ambitions. The Broadway performer expressed interest in returning to live theater, naming Aida — the Elton John and Tim Rice production — as a dream project should it be revived.
Hall’s comments come as he continues to expand his presence across stage and screen, most recently following a sold-out run of Burlesque in London, underscoring his enduring versatility as a performer and creative force.
