Alex Cooper vs Alix Earle: The viral feud explained
There's no love lost between Alix Earle and Alex Cooper
There's no love lost between Alix Earle and Alex Cooper.
The internet stars have allegedly been feuding for over a year, following Earle's exit from Cooper's podcasting company, the Unwell Network.
Though the Call Her Daddy host initially denied rumours that their falling out was the reason behind the split, she called out the influencer in an April 2026 TikTok video for creating "fake drama" between them.
“Hey girl, the passive-aggressive reposts and the likes and the commenting on things — I’ve got to call you out here,” Cooper said in her video.
“You’re going to need to get specific and just say what you’ve got to say about me. There’s no NDA. No one is stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people and just say it yourself.”
A few hours later, Earle addressed Cooper's allegations, writing in the comment section of her TikTok, "Okay on it!!" She also reposted the video on her own TikTok.
So, why are Alix Earle and Alex Cooper feuding? Here's everything to know about their viral drama and what caused it.
In September 2023, Earle became one of the first influencers to sign with Unwell, along with Madeline Argy.
Cooper told Variety at the time that both women had "a unique presence" and that she was "honored" to "pass along knowledge and advice for a new generation of creators to flourish.”
When Variety reported in February 2025 that Unwell dropped Hot Mess from its network, rumours began circling that the disbandment was due to a fallout between Earle and Cooper.
Earle went on to put her podcast on pause indefinitely, which led fans to assume it had to do with her rumored feud with Cooper — rumors that Cooper put to bed at the time.
"Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do Unwell," the Call Her Daddy host wrote in a TikTok post. "[I don't know] why she can't/what's going on."
Though Cooper claimed in the post that that Unwell "gave her everything back" and that Earle owned her IP, the influencer seemed to suggest otherwise in a May 2025 interview with the Wall Street Journal.
“That was, behind the scenes, a little bit of a hot mess,” she told the outlet, claiming that it took some time to get the rights to her show back, which relaunched in a video format after a four-month hiatus.
Following her Unwell departure, Earle appeared to hint there may be some truth to rumors of tension with Cooper.
Responding to a fan who asked what happened between her and the Call Her Daddy host in an August 2025 TikTok, she quipped in a comment reply, “How much time do you have?”
Two months later, Cooper seemingly fired back, soundtracking an Instagram video recapping an Unwell live show in Las Vegas to "Circus" — the same track Earle had recently performed to on Dancing with the Stars.
In her caption, she wrote, "How much time do you have? Cause we could go all night."
Earle appeared to escalate things further in April 2026, when she reposted a viral TikTok from a creator who compared Cooper to “a grim reaper.”
Days after Earle's "grim reaper" repost, Cooper tagged the influencer in a video breaking her silence on their alleged feud.
Though she didn't share specifics about what had happened between them, the podcast host claimed that Earle was creating "fake drama" to "distract" from other personal matters.
"You guys know I don't usually address this kind of stuff because it feels like a waste of time, and honestly, it's embarrassing to participate in this," Cooper began the video. "But I am obviously seeing the videos. I'm getting tagged. I see the DMs. I see the comments. So at this point, it just feels long overdue."
She then addressed Earle by name, calling her out for her "passive-aggressive" online activity and asking her point-blank, "What's the beef?"
“I know what happened, and so do you, so talk — unless the fake narrative that you're creating happens to be way more interesting than the truth,” she said.
Cooper continued, “I have nothing to hide when it comes to you and me. Unless you actually have something to say, I'm out. This is over."
