Allison Williams is leaning into her role as the "experienced mom" friend following the news that her former Girls co-star, Christopher Abbott, is expecting his first child with partner Aubrey Plaza.

Speaking at a recent NYC screening for Brunello: The Gracious Visionary, Williams expressed her delight for the couple, who were first romantically linked in 2025.

The 38-year-old actress, who shares a four-year-old son, Arlo, with husband Alexander Dreymon, admitted she has become "one of those annoying people" who gets over-excited about baby news.

"I’m sort of like, 'Oh my god.' Like, you don't know. It's so obnoxious," she joked to E! News. Despite the self-deprecation, Williams offered grounded advice to Abbott and The White Lotus star Plaza: "Trust your instincts. People have been doing this for as long as there’ve been people."

She also added a humorous, practical tip for the couple, suggesting they shouldn't be afraid to "let a stranger hold your baby so you can pee."

The connection between the actors runs deep; Williams and Abbott played the tumultuous on-again, off-again couple Marnie and Charlie on the hit series Girls for several years.

While their fictional relationship was defined by drama, their real-life friendship remains supportive.

Abbott and Plaza recently confirmed both their relationship and pregnancy news after being spotted at a Death of a Salesman afterparty.

As they prepare for parenthood, they clearly have a seasoned ally in Williams, who is ready to help them navigate the "amazing" journey ahead.
