Hollywood actress Natalie Portman has announced she is expecting her third child at the age of 44, describing the experience as a "privilege and a miracle."
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar published on Friday, the Oscar-winner shared the joyous news regarding her first child with boyfriend Tanguy Destable, a French music producer.
Portman, the daughter of a fertility doctor, expressed a "keen awareness" of the difficulties many face with conception. She told the magazine, "Tanguy and I are very excited. I’m just very grateful."
The star remained humble regarding her situation, noting, "I have so many people I love who’ve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well."
Despite the medical considerations often associated with pregnancy in one's mid-forties, Portman reported feeling remarkably resilient.
"I have more energy than I thought I might," she remarked, explaining that she utilises swimming and Gyrotonics to "keep strong" while caring for her older children.
Portman already shares two children, 14-year-old Aleph and 9-year-old Amalia, with her former husband, Benjamin Millepied.
The actress appears to be embracing this new chapter with vitality, prioritising a healthy lifestyle and mental well-being.
News of the pregnancy also circulated on social media via the deuxmoi Instagram account, garnering significant attention from fans worldwide.
Portman rose to international fame as a child star before winning an Academy Award for her performance in Black Swan.
She continues to balance her acclaimed acting career with various philanthropic efforts and upcoming cinematic projects scheduled for late 2026.
