  • Both parties initially denied any romantic involvement following the Arizona resort sightings.

Dianna Russini, a prominent NFL journalist, has deleted her X account following the escalation of a public scandal involving New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.

The deactivation occurred on Thursday evening, shortly after further compromising photographs were published. The controversy initially flared in March when the pair were spotted holding hands at a luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona.

While Russini maintained the interaction was a standard meeting with a source, she subsequently posted a resignation letter to her social media followers before the account was permanently removed from the platform.

The situation grew more complex this week with the release of archival photos from March 2020, which allegedly show the pair kissing and appearing intimate at a New York City bar.

At the time of these earlier photos, Vrabel was married to his wife of over twenty years, Jen, while Russini was six months away from her wedding to Kevin Goldschmidt.

"They were kissing and they were all over each other," an eyewitness told reporters. Russini had previously dismissed the Arizona sightings as "innocent" and taken out of context, suggesting they were part of a larger group outing with various industry colleagues.

During an NFL Draft press conference on Thursday, Vrabel declined to discuss the specifics of the 2020 images, categorising the situation as a "private and personal matter."

He emphasised his commitment to protecting his family and focusing on his team, stating that the suggestions of impropriety were "laughable." Both Russini and Vrabel have two sons with their respective spouses.

Russini’s representatives have not released a formal statement regarding her resignation or the deletion of her social media presence.
