Kylie Kelce has opened up about the emotional "hurt" she experienced while sending her daughter, Bennett, to preschool for the first time.
Speaking on the Not Gonna Lie podcast during the "You Know What’s F------ Up?" segment on Thursday, the 34-year-old mother of four admitted she is struggling to adjust to her changing household.
With Bennett now three years old, Kylie noted that three of her four "babies" are officially in school, a milestone that has left her feeling less than settled. "I don't feel great about it," she confessed to her audience.
The podcaster explained that the family had delayed Bennett's start date until after spring break due to "wonky" schedules and her own desire to keep her daughter close.
"I was being selfish. I wanted her to stay home with me," Kylie shared candidly. However, Bennett’s reaction to her first day was far more independent than her mother anticipated.
Kylie recalled her shock when the toddler exited the car and offered a quick goodbye without a backward glance.
"I said, ‘Bye, Bennie. I love you.' And she went, ‘Love you.' She didn't turn around," Kylie recounted, jokingly adding that she talked about the perceived snub "relentlessly" for the next three hours.
While the transition is difficult for Kylie, she remains "so excited" for Bennett’s new journey and the quality of her teachers.
Kylie and her husband, former NFL star Jason Kelce, also share daughters Wyatt, Elliotte, and 13-month-old Finn.
The family recently celebrated Jason’s transition into sports broadcasting following his retirement.
