Amanda Batula and West Wilson's romance drama to shine in 'Summer House: In the City' spinoff

The “Summer House” spinoff, “In the City,” resumed filming after the surprising relationship news involving Amanda Batula and West Wilson.

Bravo executive Frances Berwick informed The Ankler on Wednesday that the new series captured "a fresh scene" addressing the unexpected love story.

“In a couple of weeks, ‘In the City’ — you’ll witness in the initial episode that we’ve included a recently shot scene with some of the cast,” Berwick commented.

“We did choose to capture that moment, but it didn’t seem suitable for ‘Summer House,’” she added.

Berwick also mentioned that the network wanted to focus on the “emotional health” of the cast and decided it wasn’t appropriate to immediately start filming “Summer House” again.

Instead, they “paused briefly” before integrating the Wilson-Batula storyline into the spinoff, Berwick remarked.

“And that was evident in the reunion last week; as you are aware, we recorded the reunion last week,” she stated.

“In the City” was filmed last fall and is set to air on Wednesday, May 19, following the “Summer House” Season 10 conclusion.

The spinoff features current “Summer House” personalities Batula, Kyle Cooke, and Lindsay Hubbard, along with former stars Danielle Olivera and Andrea Denver, plus several new members.

At the time of filming “In the City,” Batula and Cooke were still wed. The couple announced their separation in January after four years together.

Over two months later, Batula confirmed her relationship with Wilson, who previously dated her ex-friend Ciara Miller.

Wilson and Miller are not in the “In the City” cast, although Wilson is featured in a playful scene with Batula in the trailer.
