Rihanna ends 20-year feud with Beyonce, plans post-Met ball party
This year, Rihanna is expected to make a major music comeback
Rihanna has finally squashed the long-standing rumors of a feud with Beyoncé, sharing her plans to celebrate with her and Jay-Z following the Met Gala.
The two music legends both made an appearance at last night's much-anticipated Met Gala dressed in dazzling sequin outfits.
While dressed in her glittering attire, Rihanna revealed her post-event plans to the media.
She remarked, “We’re going to Beyoncé and Jay-Z‘s afterparty. Come on, there’s no other afterparty.”
She laughed afterward, as if the idea of attending any other event was unthinkable.
This reconciliation follows Rihanna’s recent comments to Vogue magazine about the alleged conflict.
Rihanna dazzles in a bright mustard outfit in India to launch her latest beauty collection.
Fans have speculated about a secret rivalry between the stars, stretching back years.
The speculation arose when Beyoncé debuted her song, Formation.
This track was released just a week after Rihanna launched her latest album, ANTI.
It marked Rihanna’s first album since Unapologetic in 2012, leading fans to question the timing of Beyoncé’s single.
Discussing the rumors, Rihanna stated: “Here’s the truth. People just get super excited about negativity.
“Something competitive. A supposed rivalry.
“But that’s not my focus. I’m just focused on being myself.
“No one else is capable of doing that.”
This year, Rihanna is expected to make a major music comeback, ten years since her last tour and following her most recent live performance at the Super Bowl three years ago.
