Sarah Ramos announces first pregnancy with husband Matt Spicer
The couple married in 2020 and are now expecting their first child
Sarah Ramos has announced that she is expecting her first child with husband Matt Spicer, sharing the news in a lighthearted social media post that featured a surprise baby shower filled with pets, balloons and family moments.
The Parenthood actress revealed the pregnancy on Instagram, posting a series of photos from her baby shower alongside a caption that embraced the surprise announcement.
“Surprise! If you’re not surprised I’m pregnant, act like it!” she wrote, adding that the event included puppies available for adoption through The Labelle Foundation.
Among the images shared, Ramos appeared in a white crop top highlighting her baby bump, surrounded by pastel balloons and a cake decorated with the words “Baby Spice.”
Other photos showed her celebrating with friends, including writer Caroline Goldfarb, and cuddling puppies during the event.
The announcement quickly drew congratulatory messages from friends and colleagues.
Actress Busy Philipps and Elle Fanning were among those to comment, while Ramos’ Parenthood co-star Mae Whitman wrote, “Weeeeee congrats budge!”
Actor and filmmaker Matt Spicer also shared his excitement, reposting one of Ramos’ baby bump photos on Instagram Stories with a playful caption and a soundtrack of JoJo’s “Baby It’s You.” He later referenced his upcoming project Little Brother in a joking post alongside her image.
Adding to the excitement, Spicer’s sister appeared to suggest the couple may be expecting a baby boy, writing on social media, “My nephew is in there!”
She also noted that more nephews were on the way in the family, hinting at multiple recent additions.
Ramos and Spicer married in October 2020 in Las Vegas, a ceremony she later described in a heartfelt post that featured an Elvis impersonator walking her down the aisle.
The couple has largely kept their relationship private while occasionally sharing glimpses of their life together online.
