Tom Holland shares surprise home hobby with Zendaya during rare personal reveal

Tom Holland has revealed a surprisingly calming shared hobby with partner Zendaya, saying the couple bond over crocheting at home as a way to unwind from the pressures of fame.

The 29-year-old actor shared the detail during a visit to Pura Padel in California, where his non-alcoholic beer brand BERO was participating in a padel competition.

During the event, Holland was gifted a Spider-Man-themed crochet can holder by Olympic diver Tom Daley, who is widely known for his knitting and crochet work.

In a video posted on Daley’s Instagram account, Holland reacted enthusiastically to the handmade gift, noting its resemblance to a spider web. “Mate I love that! And it also is kind of like a spider web. It’s perfect!” he said.

He then confirmed that crocheting has become part of his home routine with Zendaya.

“We have been crocheting at home,” Holland shared, explaining that the activity helps him disconnect after stressful days. “I absolutely love it. I just find it, like, turns my brain off.”

Describing the hobby further, he said it requires full concentration. “I can’t do anything else and do it. Like, I have to be, like, lasered in,” he added.

Holland has previously spoken about stepping away from alcohol, revealing he quit drinking in January 2022.

In earlier interviews, he said alcohol had begun to interfere with his career and added unnecessary stress to life in the public eye.

The Spider-Man star, who has worked with Zendaya on the long-running film franchise, has also reflected on how removing alcohol improved his mental clarity and confidence, particularly while navigating the scrutiny that comes with global fame.

He has further suggested that younger generations are increasingly exploring alternatives to drinking, describing it as part of a broader cultural shift toward healthier social habits.
