Kris Jenner expresses gratitude to Meghan Markle following 'Photogate' incident

Kris Jenner warmly thanked Meghan Markle for sending a Mother's Day package from her brand, As Ever.

The Kardashian-Jenner family leader posted a photo of the gifts on her Instagram story on Wednesday, saying: "Much appreciation to meghan aseverofficial for the lovely Mother's Day gifts! These candles have such a delightful scent! Wishing you a wonderful Mother's Day!!!"

The gift set comprised scented candles from Meghan's line along with chocolates from her collaboration with Los Angeles chocolatier Compartes.

A handwritten note accompanied the presents, offering a personal touch from the former Suits star.

Meghan's note included: "Dear Kris, Happy Mother's Day to the most nurturing woman around."

The candles delivered to Ms. Jenner featured fragrances inspired by the birthdays of Meghan and Prince Harry's two little ones, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Ms. Jenner's shoutout on social media showcases the friendliness between them, especially after the "photogate" issue surrounding her big birthday bash last year.

The James Bond-themed party, held at the Beverly Hills home of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez, had a star-studded guest list with Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Tyler Perry, Vin Diesel, Mark Zuckerberg, Adele, and Rich Paul in attendance.

Ms. Jenner and her daughter, Kim Kardashian, initially posted photos featuring the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their social media but later removed them, causing a buzz online about a possible rift between the prominent families.

A source previously mentioned to People that Markle and Harry "arrived together, looking joyful" at the event, with the duchess "radiant in a black wrap dress" while the Duke sported "a tuxedo with a poppy for Remembrance Day."

The pair faced some backlash for being at the lavish event just before Remembrance Sunday.

Kim Kardashian addressed the situation on her sister Khloé's podcast, saying: "It was really just an innocent moment, which is kind of crazy.

"My mom and Meghan have been friends for quite some time, and they share a really sweet bond."

She noted that they took the photos down after realizing the timing fell on Remembrance Day, saying: "So we decided to remove them to honor Remembrance Day."
