Kim Kardashian is helping reunite dozens of incarcerated mothers with their children this Mother’s Day through a new initiative launched alongside REFORM Alliance and The Ladies of Hope Ministries.

The reality star and entrepreneur partnered with the organizations to provide grants that will allow 50 women incarcerated in federal prisons across the United States to spend Mother’s Day with their children, some for the first time in years.

According to the initiative, the families were selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with travel and visitation costs fully covered to help facilitate the reunions.

In a statement, Kardashian reflected on the emotional impact of the project and the long separations many families have endured.

“So many of these mothers have spent years away from their children and families, missing birthdays, holidays, and everyday moments most of us take for granted,” she shared.

“I’m honored to partner with Reform and LOHM to help reconnect these families so they can hold their children, laugh together, and simply be a family again.”

The initiative comes shortly after Kardashian visited the women’s prison in Chowchilla alongside her mother, Kris Jenner, and REFORM Alliance executive Jessica Jackson.

During the visit, the group met with incarcerated women, including inmates receiving hospice care at the facility.

On Instagram, Kardashian described the experience as deeply moving, revealing that many of the women had formed close bonds while caring for terminally ill inmates so that “no one has to die alone.”

“I’ve done this work for a long time, but the humanity, compassion, and love I saw there will stay with me forever,” Kardashian wrote, while thanking prison officials and the women who shared their stories.

Jackson also praised the collaboration, highlighting the emotional importance of reconnecting mothers and children during the holiday.

“As a mother myself, I cannot imagine being separated from my children on Mother’s Day, let alone for years on end,” she said.

“We are deeply grateful to Kim and Topeka for this partnership, and I am so happy we are able to reunite fifty families this Mother’s Day.”
