Kylie Kelce reveals one type of person her daughters are banned from dating

Kylie Kelce has one unbreakable rule for when her four daughters eventually start dating, and it has everything to do with her husband's legendary career. The diehard Philadelphia Eagles supporter has jokingly banned any future partners who happen to be fans of their most hated rivals, the Dallas Cowboys.

The mother of four, who is married to recently retired Eagles centre Jason Kelce, was speaking about the hypothetical scenario on her podcast. When a fan asked how she would react if one of her girls brought home a Cowboys fan, her response was swift and clear. "I'm gonna be honest, this thought has not crossed my mind," Kylie shared. "Why? I'm hoping that I've raised my children better than that."

'An appropriate degree of disdain'

Kylie, who shares daughters Wyatt, six, Elliotte, five, Bennett, three, and one-year-old Finn with Jason, clarified that her issue is strictly with the football team, not the city itself. "I'm sure there are people from Dallas, Texas, who are not Dallas fans. So I would consider that a possibility," she explained. "I don't have a problem with Dallas, the place. Although I don't plan on ever visiting."

However, the idea of a Cowboys fan joining the family fold is something she struggles to imagine. When she answered a fan question on the Thursday, May 14, episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast, she admitted, "I genuinely cannot wrap my head around the idea of one of our children bringing home a significant other and saying, well, they're a Cowboys fan. Nope. Can't do it." She also confessed that out of the two of them, she would have the "bigger problem" with it. "It's me," she said.

"Jason will be the person that's like, 'You know what? He seems like a good guy.' I don't give a f---." In the end, she hopes her parenting will prevent the situation entirely. "I'm hopeful that we have raised our children with an appropriate degree of disdain for the Dallas Cowboys," she concluded.

Raising grounded children in the spotlight

Beyond sporting rivalries, Kylie and Jason are focused on instilling strong values and ensuring their children remain grounded despite the family's rising fame. With increased public interest, Kylie has emphasised the importance of teaching her daughters the value of a normal life and not putting them in "any places of privilege."

One practical example she shared is their plan for their daughters to drive a "lemon" of a car when they turn 16, complete with manual window cranks, to foster a sense of humility. They are also cautious about their children's exposure to social media, aiming to protect them from online pressures and allowing them to simply "lean into being kids."

Fostering kindness and confidence

A key focus for Kylie is raising kind and confident girls. She has spoken about teaching her eldest, Wyatt, that being unkind will result in not having friends, hoping the lesson encourages her to gravitate away from "mean girl" behaviour. The core message in their home is to "treat others the way they wanna be treated."

This foundation of confidence and strong character, she believes, will help them navigate the world. Some household rules are even influenced by the mischievous childhoods of Jason and his brother, Travis Kelce. A firm rule is that "no one plays in the car," a direct response to stories from the brothers' youth.

Future leaders and performers

While dating is a long way off, Kylie has shared her predictions for her daughters' future careers. She sees her eldest, Wyatt, as a natural leader with a "very strong personality." She explained, "She wants to tell other people what to do... I guess a CEO. Someone who definitely is in a leadership role."

For her other children, she imagines different paths. She noted that "animal lover" Elliotte might become a zookeeper, while three-year-old Bennett is a born entertainer. "Bennett will perform," Kylie said. "It's her world, and we are living in it."

While her dating rule may be delivered with a laugh, Kylie's primary focus is clearly on raising independent and kind individuals. Her parenting approach blends humour with a deep commitment to character, preparing her girls for any future they choose - as long as it doesn't involve a Cowboys jersey.
