Lainey Wilson weds former NFL star Devlin Hodges in scenic cave wedding
Wilson arrived in a horse-drawn carriage before exchanging vows with Devlin 'Duck' Hodges
Country music star and actress Lainey Wilson has married former NFL quarterback Devlin Hodges in a romantic waterfall ceremony held in Tennessee, marking a picturesque new chapter for the couple.
The 33-year-old Yellowstone star tied the knot with Hodges, known by his nickname “Duck,” on May 10 at Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee, in a ceremony set against the backdrop of a cascading waterfall.
Wilson arrived at the venue in a white horse-drawn carriage and wore an Oscar de la Renta gown as she walked down the aisle to exchange vows at the foot of the natural setting.
Describing the moment to Vogue, Wilson said the atmosphere was intimate and serene, with “water trickling down” and “birds singing,” as a spring breeze moved through the cave setting.
She added that she was escorted by her father as she made her way to the altar, where Hodges was waiting.
“I have never seen Duck smile as big as he did then,” Wilson said. “It made me feel giddy about turning the page into this next chapter of marriage. We were both anxious to say ‘I do!’”
After being pronounced husband and wife, the couple walked back down the aisle together as Raye’s song Where Is My Husband? played.
The celebration continued with a cocktail hour before guests moved into the cave for the reception, where the Rebirth Brass Band performed and attendees enjoyed a Cajun-inspired meal.
Wilson said the night was filled with energy and celebration, noting that the dance floor remained packed throughout the evening.
To conclude the festivities, the newlyweds exited through a sparkler send-off before climbing into an old white Ford truck and driving away together.
Wilson and Hodges began dating in 2021 and announced their engagement in early 2025. Their relationship has often been described by Wilson as a grounding force during her rise in the music industry.
In her documentary Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, she credited Hodges with helping her navigate the pressures of fame, calling him someone who supported her through exhaustion, long tours, and emotional moments behind the scenes.
She also described him as her “best friend,” saying he encouraged and supported her while keeping her grounded through her career success.
