Christine and Paddy McGuinness dispute £6.5m mansion sale amid selling struggles

Former couple Christine and Paddy McGuinness are reportedly embroiled in a tense conflict regarding the sale of their £6.5 million former family residence.

The duo, who ended their relationship in June 2022, listed the expansive Cheshire estate on the market last March and are yet to secure a buyer.

Paddy and Christine, who continue to reside in the dwelling with their three children, initially purchased the property for £2.1 million in 2020 and have since listed it for £6.5 million.

A close insider revealed to The Mail on Sunday that TV host Paddy is responsible for the house's 'inflated' price, suspecting it's because 'he's reluctant to leave.'

"Christine is getting quite annoyed now," the source stated. "She's ready to move forward, but with the house being set at such a high price, it seems Paddy doesn't want to let go."

"Paddy is resistant to downsizing. He desires a large home to suit his self-image. It appears to be a matter of control. He knows fetching £6.5 million is unrealistic. It feels as if he's engaging in trivial tactics."

The Sun has contacted Christine and Paddy McGuinness' representatives for their perspective.

The luxurious seven-bedroom residence is located in the prestigious area of Prestbury, accessible via a private path.

Fans have enjoyed glimpses of the opulent mansion, featuring elegant décor and a cutting-edge gym over the years.

The property listing highlights it as a 'fusion of traditional and modern styles, designed with family in mind – but in a lavish manner.'

The seven-bedroom home also includes a personal gym regularly used by Christine.

Christine shared her interest in dating both men and women back in June 2025 on the How to Fail podcast and has since been linked to several potential partners.

She was recently photographed sharing a kiss with DJ Roxxxan, just days after rumours surfaced about her 'bonding' with Strictly star and Olympic boxer Nicola Adams.

The mother-of-three was also involved in a short-lived romance with a renowned soap actress after discussing her sexuality in 2025.

Meanwhile, Paddy was rumoured to be relying on Sky Sports presenter Kirsty Gallagher after separating from Christine.
