Pentagon releases new UFO footage including F-16 strike over Lake Huron

The Pentagon has released a new set of declassified videos and documents showing encounters with unidentified aerial objects, including a 2023 infrared recording of an F-16 fighter jet shooting down an unknown object over Lake Huron.

The release, issued under the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System of UAP Encounters (PURSUE), forms part of an ongoing effort to declassify records related to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, commonly referred to as UFOs.

Among the most notable materials is footage captured in 2023 showing the moment an F-16 intercepted and destroyed an unidentified object over Lake Huron.

Additional clips from operations in the Persian Gulf and Syria depict objects moving at unusually high speeds and, in some cases, flying in coordinated formations.

Despite the striking imagery, officials emphasized that many of the materials lack a verified chain of custody, making full analysis difficult.

The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), responsible for investigating such incidents, reiterated that there is currently no evidence suggesting the objects are of extraterrestrial origin.

The release also includes first-hand accounts from military personnel, including an intelligence officer who described observing “two large orbs” appearing to track nearby fighter jets during operations. The officer said the encounter left personnel “virtually speechless.”

According to the Department of Defense, the newly published archive has drawn significant public attention, generating more than a billion website visits since its release.

Officials confirmed that a third batch of files is already in preparation as part of continued transparency efforts surrounding decades of unresolved aerial observations.
