Peter Phillips to hold wedding reception at Gatcombe Park
Prince Harry and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor are among those excluded from the wedding guest list
Following Peter Phillips's wedding this weekend, guests will gather at Gatcombe Park for the reception, according to new reports.
The estate belongs to Princess Anne, who resides in the main house alongside her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence.
For the late Queen Elizabeth II's eldest grandchild, the venue holds deep personal significance as the place where he spent his formative years.
Royal event planner with deep connections enlisted
According to Hello!, the wedding arrangements have been entrusted to Peregrine Armstrong Jones, founder of Bentleys Entertainment, whose ties to the Royal Family run deep. He is the half-brother of Antony Armstrong-Jones, the late former husband of Princess Margaret.
Armstrong Jones has a longstanding relationship with the groom, having previously organised Peter's 21st birthday celebration at Windsor Castle.
His portfolio of royal events includes celebrations for Princess Anne and the 2011 wedding of Zara Tindall to Mike Tindall.
Beyond royal circles, his client list extends to high-profile celebrities, with credits including the wedding of David and Victoria Beckham and the marriage of Hugh Grant to Anna Elisabet Eberstein.
Church ceremony near the bride's childhood home
Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling will exchange vows on Saturday, 6 June, at All Saints Church in Kemble, Cirencester — a venue of particular personal significance to the bride, as the church sits near her childhood home in Gloucestershire. The occasion is expected to be one of the most anticipated royal celebrations of the year.
Harry, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson excluded from guest list
Several prominent royals will not be in attendance. Prince Harry, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and Sarah Ferguson have all been excluded from the guest list.
A friend of the couple told Hello!: "When and whether Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson had been invited, it was probably not deemed appropriate to invite them. It's Peter and Harriet's special day, and clearly their attendance would cause a distraction to the whole day."
Regarding the Duke of Sussex's absence, the source added: "Peter and Harry haven't spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn't been invited."
Both have been married before
Phillips, now 48, was previously married to Autumn Kelly for 13 years until their divorce in 2021. The former couple share two daughters, Savannah, 15, and Isla, 14.
Sperling, 45, works as a paediatric nurse for the NHS and has a teenage daughter named Georgina from her previous marriage to Antonio St John Sperling. She is the daughter of the late Rupert Sanders and Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire.
Phillips proposed during the summer, with the couple later posing for photographs that showed off Sperling's striking diamond engagement ring. The pair have been together for two years.
