Doja Cat blasts Elon Musk on X while asking for a favour
  • Doja Cat asked Musk to restore X's audio post feature, discontinued in early 2025
  • She called him a "frog build looking bitch" and a "barrel chested ewok" in the same post
  • Musk settled an SEC lawsuit in early May for a $1.5 million civil penalty

Doja Cat has made a very public — and very colourful — appeal to Elon Musk, demanding the X owner restore a discontinued feature on his platform whilst simultaneously unleashing a volley of personal insults in his direction.

The post that set the internet alight

The Grammy-winning artist took to X on Wednesday to call on the billionaire tech mogul to bring back the platform's audio post function. Diplomacy, however, was not high on her agenda.

"Hey Elon if u see this please put the audio post feature back on here," she wrote. "Thanks, u frog build looking bitch. Barrel chested ewok u look like u eat sand."

The feature Doja Cat appears to be referring to is the voice note or audio post function, which users began reporting had been removed from X sometime in early 2025.

Despite its disappearance from public posts, voice memos can still be exchanged via direct messages on the platform.

Musk's turbulent tenure at X

Musk completed his takeover of X, at the time still known as Twitter, in October 2022, immediately dismantling the company's senior executive team.

His first year as owner proved rocky, with monthly active users declining by around 15% and advertising revenue collapsing by 54%.

More recently, Musk found himself in legal hot water when, in early May, he agreed to pay a £1.5 million civil penalty to settle an SEC lawsuit that accused him of failing to properly disclose his accumulation of Twitter shares ahead of the acquisition.

For a man whose personal fortune is estimated at $659 billion, the settlement barely registered as a financial inconvenience.

Not the first pop star to take a swing at Musk

Doja Cat is not the first high-profile musical artist to use Musk as a target for online criticism. In November 2025, Billie Eilish labelled the tech billionaire a "fucking pathetic pussy bitch coward" for his refusal to direct his enormous wealth towards humanitarian relief efforts.
