Jennifer Lopez was unable to contain her emotions on Friday as she attended the high school graduation of her son Max, who turned 18 this year. The star was photographed wiping away tears of joy as the milestone occasion moved her deeply, according to images published by Page Six.
A further photograph captured Lopez embracing her son warmly. Max marked the occasion in a casual yet stylish ensemble, wearing an orange and grey tie-dye shirt, tan trousers and matching trainers.
Lopez's look on the day
For her son's special occasion, Lopez kept her own style effortless and understated, arriving in a floral dress, a grey cardigan and nude heels. She styled her hair in a large, sweeping ponytail to complete the look.
Family and friends gather in support
A number of Lopez's close family members and friends were also in attendance to mark the occasion. Those present included Lopez's parents, David Lopez and Guadalupe Rodríguez, Max's twin sibling Emme, and Lopez's long-standing manager Benny Medina. Emme, who had herself graduated from high school the previous month, celebrated her brother's achievement wearing a red polo shirt.
Marc Anthony notably absent
Max and Emme's father, Marc Anthony, was conspicuously absent from the ceremony. Anthony, who is also expecting his second child with his wife, model Nadia Ferreira, had likewise missed Emme's graduation the month prior. Lopez and Anthony were married for ten years before separating in 2014.
