Zayn Malik ex-fiancée Perrie Edwards marries in Portugal ceremony

Former Little Mix star Perrie Edwards married professional footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on Friday in a romantic ceremony held in Portugal, with the singer later opening up about the day exclusively to British Vogue.

Edwards wore three distinct bridal outfits throughout the wedding day. For the ceremony itself, she chose a lace gown by designer Dana Harel, complete with a matching bolero and veil.

She later changed into a crystal-embellished Galia Lahav gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and a thigh-high slit. Her final look for the evening reception was a custom mini dress by Annie's Ibiza. "I wanted to change for the evening so I could dance and be free," she said. "It was short and fun and fab and cinched to the heavens with the corset!"

A wedding day mishap — and a heartwarming recovery

Not everything went smoothly on the day. Edwards revealed that a diamond necklace, gifted to her by Oxlade-Chamberlain following the birth of their four-year-old son Axel, went missing during the celebrations.

"I cried all day, we looked everywhere — we even checked the hoover — but it was gone. I was convinced someone had stolen it," she said. The necklace was eventually discovered by hairstylist Aaron Carlo, who had found it tangled in her hair extensions. Recalling the moment, Edwards said Carlo told her: "Okay, Perrie: what I'm about to show you is your something old, your something new, your everything in one, and you're going to cry." Edwards said of the find: "I was so happy and so relieved. It set the tone — I knew from that moment it was gonna be the best day ever."

From Zayn Malik to a life with Oxlade-Chamberlain

Edwards first rose to public attention through her relationship with singer Zayn Malik, which began in 2011. The pair got engaged in 2013, but Malik called off the engagement in 2015.

Edwards subsequently found happiness with Oxlade-Chamberlain, with whom she shares two children — son Axel, aged four, and daughter Alanis.
