Oasis singer Liam Gallagher urged England football fans to keep the biblical vibrations going after tournament supporters sang the band's famous anthem Wonderwall alongside players at full time. The musical endorsement followed a series of matches where fans consistently performed the classic track during the global tournament. The ongoing musical tradition initially began during the team's opening group game and extended into the subsequent knockout stages of the competition.

The social media interaction occurred on X following England's recent 2-1 comeback victory against DR Congo on Wednesday. The Independent reported that the 53-year-old musician voiced his support for the public display, stating that if elected governments could not deliver positive energy, it remained the responsibility of ordinary people to do so. Following the victory, which was secured by a brace from Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, the entire playing squad lined up directly in front of the travelling supporters to sing the 1995 single together.

Gallagher published further commentaries celebrating the athletic performance, specifically praising Kane before noting that the nation required good vibrations until the return of his band. When responding fans subsequently questioned him regarding when the rock group would stage another reunion following their 2025 concert tour, the singer joked that he could not disclose the specific dates due to security reasons. The tournament matches are currently being hosted across various cities in the US, Canada, and Mexico.

Written originally by his brother Noel Gallagher, the track Wonderwall initially reached number two on the official UK singles chart during its original release in the 1990s and became the most recognisable song for the Manchester-based rock group.

The track achieved further chart success later that same year when an easy listening cover version by the group The Mike Flowers Pops also peaked at number two. In addition to the recent adoption by international football fans, the recording is routinely broadcast over loudspeakers following home matches at Manchester City, the Premier League football club supported by both Gallagher brothers.
