The 44-year-old actress explained that the remaining cast members maintain positive connections with the twins despite their collective departure from the Hollywood limelight. The famous sisters chose not to return to the television franchise when they declined to reprise their childhood roles as Michelle Tanner and Melina Katsopolis in the revival series, Fuller House.

The Comics and Kicks podcast, hosted by Black Eyed Peas member Taboo, broadcast the interview detailing the current dynamics of the television cast. Sweetin clarified that everyone remains on good terms with the sisters, but noted that they were only 8 years old when the original sitcom concluded. Following the end of the show, the twins filmed a vast collection of movies and additional media projects, which Sweetin suggested they did not always love doing all the time.

The actress observed that the twins effectively walked away from the entire group at 8 years old, which heavily influenced the Full House co-stars' relationship over the subsequent decades. Sweetin explained that she spent her own formative childhood years working on the iconic television set from the age of 5 until she turned 13. By contrast, she quipped that individuals do not remember all that much about their experiences from the age of 8 and earlier.

Sweetin added that the Olsen twins developed a completely different relationship to being on a production set all the time because they began filming during infancy. She noted that the sisters might not remember being 2 years old when the older cast members carried them around and performed various activities. While Sweetin holds fond personal memories of those specific early years, she acknowledged that the twins do not share the same attachment because acting is not their thing.
