  • Taylor Frankie Paul will only appear in the show's opening credits.
  • The reality star is currently managing intense custody battles with two ex-partners.
  • Cast and crew members support her decision to focus entirely on family.

Social media influencer Taylor Frankie Paul will return to film Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season five, but her appearances will remain strictly limited to the opening credits sequence. The reality television personality is scheduled to film the introductory footage over a two-day period before stepping away from the cameras for the remainder of the production schedule.

TMZ originally reported the casting development, which Page Six subsequently confirmed through production sources. Television insiders previously indicated in April that Paul would likely film content at some point during the year. However, the latest scheduling updates confirm she will not film any standard episodes alongside the rest of the ensemble cast. The production crew and fellow cast members remain entirely supportive of her situation while she dedicates her time to resolving personal matters.

The reduced filming schedule follows her recent admission into a rehabilitation facility amid escalating custody disputes. Paul is currently involved in separate legal proceedings with her former husband, Tate Paul, and her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen. She shares eight-year-old daughter Indy and six-year-old son Ocean with her ex-husband, while she shares two-year-old son Ever with Mortensen.

The legal friction intensified when Tate Paul filed for sole custody and sought a temporary restraining order, though a judge subsequently denied the restraining order request. Concurrently, Mortensen secured temporary sole custody of Ever in March following concerns regarding volatile behaviour, leaving Paul with supervised visitation privileges. The custody battle expanded after video footage emerged documenting a domestic dispute between the estranged couple.

Although prosecutors declined to press charges across three separate domestic violence investigations, both individuals successfully obtained mutual protective orders in April. During their most recent court hearing, Commissioner Russell Minas expanded Paul's visitation rights while reprimanding Mortensen for transporting their toddler on a motorcycle. The reality star intends to focus heavily on her family dynamics during her extended absence from the Hulu reality programme.
