  • Creators Matt and Ross Duffer released an emotional statement thanking fans and artists.
  • Netflix released a special vintage VHS edition of the first season to celebrate.

The cast of the global hit drama series reunited to mark the milestone Stranger Things 10-year celebration. Original actors Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin appeared alongside co-stars Sadie Sink, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Joe Keery, and Maya Hawke in a commemorative video. The online gathering brought together the main cast members who helped transform the supernatural programme into a global pop-culture phenomenon.

The streaming platform Netflix released the promotional video alongside an emotional joint statement from show creators, writers, directors, and executive producers Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer. The creative duo, commonly known as the Duffer brothers, expressed immense pride, nostalgia, and sadness as they officially marked the conclusion of their decade-long production journey.

The filmmakers explained that they felt incredibly grateful for their cast, whom they watched mature into wonderful human beings throughout the years. They also thanked the hundreds of brilliant artists who devoted themselves to bringing the story to life, as well as the global fanbase whose patience and passion fuelled the production.

To properly mark the Stranger Things 10-year celebration, the Duffer brothers encouraged fans to watch a newly formatted Season 1 VHS Special Edition. Designed to replicate a vintage videocassette sitting on a shelf at the fictional Family Video store in Hawkins, the special release features a nostalgic pan-and-scan format. The creators jokingly promised that if enough dedicated viewers watched the retro edition, they would consider creating similar vintage formats for subsequent seasons of the show.
