Reese Witherspoon praises Alanna Ubach

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the series premiere on Tuesday, Witherspoon reflected on their decades-long friendship.

"Alanna Ubach is my girl. We've known each other since way back. Before we did Legally Blonde, we did a movie called Freeway together. And she's my girl. I love her," she said.

Witherspoon also praised Ubach's recent work, adding, "Love her in Euphoria. She's always got my back. We just love each other."

Friendship dates back to Freeway

The actresses first worked together in the 1996 thriller Freeway, where they played prison friends Vanessa Lutz and Mesquita.

They reunited five years later in the hit comedy Legally Blonde, with Ubach portraying Serena, one of Elle Woods' loyal Delta Nu sorority sisters who supports her throughout law school.

Last month, Ubach also expressed enthusiasm about returning for the long-discussed Legally Blonde 3, telling People she would immediately sign on if the opportunity arose.

Reunion comes in Lucky

Their latest collaboration comes through Lucky, starring Anya Taylor-Joy as a con artist trying to escape both the FBI and a crime boss.

The limited series also features Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant and Clifton Collins Jr. The first two episodes are now streaming on Apple TV+, with new episodes released every Wednesday.
