Brianna LaPaglia claims Bunnie Xo is still protecting Jelly Roll after split

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia is weighing in on the high-profile split between Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll, suggesting the podcast host has not yet fully processed the end of their marriage.

Speaking on a recent episode of her Plan Bri Uncut podcast, the Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test alum shared her thoughts on the couple’s breakup after Jelly Roll filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, following nearly a decade of marriage.

Although both have publicly insisted they remain best friends and still plan to have a child together, LaPaglia questioned whether Bunnie Xo truly feels that way.

“She doesn’t mean that. She’s still under the mind control of him,” LaPaglia said.

The influencer argued that Bunnie Xo’s public comments differ from the behavior of people close to her, pointing out that several of her friends have shared social media posts criticizing the country star.

According to LaPaglia, Bunnie Xo is still trying to protect her former husband while she continues to process the separation.

“She’s still protecting him,” LaPaglia said, adding that she believes Bunnie Xo has not yet fully stepped away from the relationship emotionally.

Drawing from her own experience, LaPaglia said it can take time to understand a breakup and predicted Bunnie Xo's perspective could change over the next year.

Despite the speculation, Bunnie Xo has remained consistent in her public statements about the split.

On an episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast last month, she described the pair as an unconventional couple and insisted their relationship ended on good terms.

“We’re going to co-parent together. J is my best friend,” she said. “Nobody cheated on the other person. It’s literally just we served our purpose for each other.”

Jelly Roll echoed those remarks during a recent concert, telling fans that he and Bunnie Xo remain close despite ending their marriage.

“Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends,” he said. “Nobody cheated on nobody... That will be my best friend forever.”

The singer also thanked Bunnie Xo for their decade together, adding that he looks forward to many more years of friendship.

The former couple married in August 2016 after meeting backstage at one of Jelly Roll’s Las Vegas concerts and renewed their vows seven years later. They announced their separation earlier this year.
