Robert Pattinson jokingly calls Matt Damon 'a complete psycho' over 'The Odyssey' routine

Robert Pattinson has shared a humorous behind-the-scenes story from the set of The Odyssey, revealing why he jokingly thought his co-star Matt Damon was "a complete psycho."

During a recent interview with MTV UK, Pattinson recalled hearing loud screams coming from Damon's trailer while filming Christopher Nolan's upcoming epic, leaving him confused about what was happening.

The Twilight star explained that Damon, who stars alongside him in The Odyssey, is known for his kind personality, making the unexpected noises even more surprising.

"There's a thing which Matt did when we were shooting something. He was in the trailer next to me and he was making these noises in the trailer," Pattinson said.

"I was just like, 'Jeez,' because he's such a nice guy... I thought he was on the phone and I'm like, 'He's a complete psycho.'"

Pattinson said the shouting became so intense that he briefly imagined Damon was either in distress or dealing with an unfortunate bathroom situation.

"He was just screaming and screaming and screaming. And I'm like, 'Either you're having a really bad toilet experience or like...,'" he joked.

The mystery was quickly solved when Pattinson discovered Damon was simply preparing for his scenes.

According to the actor, Damon was intentionally straining his voice in an effort to make his character sound older, demonstrating the level of commitment he brought to the role.

Pattinson's lighthearted anecdote offered fans a glimpse into Damon's unusual pre-filming routine while highlighting the dedication behind his performance in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey.
