Fortune Feimster shares funniest memory from filming 'The Hawk' with Will Ferrell

Fortune Feimster is looking back on one of the funniest moments she shared with Will Ferrell while filming Netflix's new comedy series The Hawk.

Speaking to People magazine, the actress and comedian revealed that one memorable day on set involved filming a scene at Buffalo Wild Wings, where she and Ferrell intentionally skipped lunch so they could fully commit to the sequence.

"We purposely didn’t eat lunch because we wanted to throw down on the wings," Feimster said. "We had a lot of background with us that day, and so we were just nailing these wings."

She explained that the crowd's energy kept building as Ferrell repeatedly delivered speeches during the scene, making the experience even more entertaining.

"We were genuinely getting the crowd worked up and it got more and more ridiculous as we went," she recalled, adding that there was "no shortage of laughing" while filming with the cast.

The Hawk marks another collaboration between Feimster and Ferrell after they previously appeared together in You're Cordially Invited.

Feimster admitted she eagerly accepted the earlier role despite being told it would be a small part because working with the comedy icon had long been a dream.

"I don't care. It's Will Ferrell. It doesn't matter to me," she said. "I've wanted to work with him my whole life."

This time, Feimster plays Sam, the caddy for Ferrell's former golf champion Lonnie Hawkins. The series follows Lonnie's determined attempt to revive his career with Sam by his side, leading to a string of comedic adventures.

Feimster also described sharing the screen with Molly Shannon as "a dream come true."

Shannon reunited with Ferrell for the series after decades of collaborations that began during their Saturday Night Live days.

According to the show's official synopsis, The Hawk follows Lonnie Hawkins as he refuses to give up on completing golf's career Grand Slam despite doubts from those around him.

The comedy series, which also stars Jimmy Tatro, Luke Wilson, Chris Parnell, Katelyn Tarver and David Hornsby, is now streaming on Netflix.
