Actor Jacob Elordi praised legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott while reflecting on his experience filming the upcoming Gladiator sequel during a television interview on July 21, 2026.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! featured the guest appearance, where Elordi spoke with guest host and his Euphoria co-star Colman Domingo. The 29-year-old actor offered a glimpse into Scott's distinctive filmmaking style, revealing that the acclaimed director uses up to 11 cameras simultaneously on set. Elordi explained that this multi-camera approach allows scenes to be completed at remarkable speed, noting that a nine-page scene can take just 45 minutes to shoot. He added that the efficient schedule meant filming often wrapped early, leaving plenty of time to enjoy local food and drink.

Elordi also recalled travelling across Italy during the production journey. He stated that the cast moved from the Dolomites all the way down to Rome, enjoying the regional cuisine along the way. Reflecting on the opportunity to work alongside the celebrated director, Elordi cited fellow actor Denzel Washington, noting that when Scott calls, actors simply say yes.
