Actor Tom Holland has returned to dance training as he prepares to portray iconic Hollywood performer Fred Astaire in an upcoming biographical film.

Speaking during an appearance on the television show Good Morning America while promoting Christopher Nolan's film The Odyssey, the 30-year-old actor discussed transitioning into a new stage of his acting career and taking on more demanding projects. He noted that he feels he is entering a chapter where he can no longer pass as a teenager, adding that he enjoys the inherent challenges of his profession.

Holland explained that he will return to the dance studio for intensive physical preparation as soon as his current promotional duties conclude. The performer admitted that his initial rehearsal sessions triggered a mixture of excitement and absolute dread, noting the extensive work required to properly honour Astaire's legacy on screen.

The actor also expressed a strong desire to execute all of the featured dance sequences himself without relying on stunt or dance stand-ins. Holland stated that his goal is to perform every routine personally and record the dance numbers in single, uninterrupted shots to mirror the technical approach and performance style that Astaire famously utilised throughout his legendary Hollywood career.
