Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx shared a touching birthday tribute to his younger sister, Deidra Dixon, on her special day.

Posting heartwarming snapshots showcasing their close bond, Foxx expressed his love and gratitude to his sister on Instagram on Tuesday, calling her 'magical' and a 'courageous lioness.'

He wrote, "Happy birthday to my beautiful for sister @frequency11 “D”… you are magical you are beautiful you are the courageous lionesses #leoseason And without you I would not be here… had you not made the decisions that you made I would’ve lost my life…. I love you forever and ever happy birthday sis #swipeleft."

However, the post wasn't just a celebration of Deidra's birthday; it also included a candid video where Foxx opened up about his recent health journey.

The actor faced an undisclosed medical condition earlier this year, leading to his hospitalization.

In the heartfelt three-minute video shared on July 21, Foxx thanked his sister and his daughter, Corinne Foxx, for their unwavering support during the challenging time.

Foxx revealed that his sister's decisions were instrumental in saving his life.

While he didn't divulge specific details about the medical condition, he emotionally expressed his gratitude to his family and medical professionals for helping him recover.

Foxx praised the way his family protected and supported him throughout the ordeal, keeping it 'airtight' and not letting any information leak out.

Addressing rumors that surfaced during his health scare, Foxx confirmed that he is not blind or paralyzed and asserted that he is making progress in his recovery.

He declared, "I'm coming back, and I'm able to work," showing his determination and strength to overcome the hurdles.
