Kylie Jenner shares parents’ reactions to her pregnancy at 19: 'I was really scared'

Kylie Jenner recounted the moment she informed her parents about her first pregnancy when she was 19.

In a conversation with Jake Shane on Wednesday's “Therapuss” episode, she reflected on her early motherhood experience.

“I was 19 when I discovered I was pregnant,” she explained to Shane. “I was panicking. Yes, I was really anxious about telling my parents.

“It was terrifying, yet there was a part of me that was sure this was what I wanted to do. I had to choose for myself: What do I truly desire? What am I capable of managing? And even if I must do this alone or in any circumstances, this is the path I choose.

“Then I confided in my mum. No one reacted with anger. It was a surreal period,” she shared about her family’s response, notably from her mum Kris Jenner and dad Caitlyn Jenner.

Kylie, now 28, had her first child, Stormi, with former partner Travis Scott in 2018. At that point, the founder of Kylie Cosmetics maintained a low profile, staying indoors for a significant time.

She later gave birth to her son, Aire, with Scott in 2022, also choosing a similar level of privacy.

During the podcast, Kylie opened up about the health challenges she faced while pregnant, highlighting that her second pregnancy was tougher.

“I've endured chronic back pain for three and a half years. It's just starting to improve. But my son's pregnancy, the latest one, really affected me heavily,” she stated.

The former “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star explained that 12 weeks into her pregnancy, she struggled to walk and dealt with “sciatica and severe lower back discomfort.”

“I was in my best physical condition during that pregnancy. So, I had high hopes. I really wanted to maintain my fitness,” she mentioned, adding that she gained 60 pounds with Stormi and 65 with Aire.

Kylie also shared that her initial pregnancy was smoother because she was “three centimetres dilated for two months” during her second one.

“The baby was practically coming out,” she described.

Kylie is presently dating 30-year-old Timothée Chalamet, a relationship that began in 2023.

In a chat with Vanity Fair, she shared her preferred timeline for expanding her family.

“In the last few years of my 20s, I aim to prioritise myself, my business ventures, my career, travelling with my children, and enjoying life with them,” she expressed, adding, “And yes, I do plan on having more kids.”

Regarding Chalamet, in November 2025, he implied that children “might be on the horizon” in an interview with Vogue.
