Dua Lipa, the accomplished singer-songwriter, is celebrating a significant milestone as she marks the 8th anniversary of her debut single New Love.
The synth-pop track, released in 2015, served as a precursor to Lipa's meteoric rise to fame and her subsequent chart-topping hits.
Taking to her Instagram Story, the Grammy-winning artist shared a snippet from the music video of New Love along with a heartfelt reflection on her journey.

In her post, Lipa expressed her gratitude and joy for the progress she has made since the early days of her career.
"8 years ago I released my first song that I wrote with @wyattish [Andrew Wyatt] and @emilehaynie [Emile Haynie] (and video!), 19 year old me would be very happy to know we'd get this far," Lipa captioned the post.
While New Love didn't immediately make waves on the charts upon its release, it played a crucial role in building Lipa's fanbase and served as a foundation for her subsequent accomplishments.
Lipa revealed that the song's unexpected reactions from listeners spurred her determination to stay true to her unique artistic vision.
Following the release of New Love, Lipa's career gained momentum with follow-up hits like Be the One, Hotter Than Hell, and Blow Your Mind (Mwah).
The song New Love was also included in the deluxe edition of Lipa's self-titled debut album in 2017, which contributed to the album's worldwide success and the emergence of chart-toppers like New Rules and IDGAF.

In the years since her debut, Lipa's exceptional talent has earned her prestigious Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist and Best Dance Recording for her collaboration Electricity.
Her recent collaboration for the film Barbie, titled Dance the Night, has further solidified her position as a global music sensation.
