Pink feels ‘hurt’ on second death anniversary of late father Jim Moore

Pink honored her late father Jim Moore on his second death anniversary and paid a heartfelt tribute to him, he passed away two years ago on August 27, 2021.

The Cover Me In Sunshine singer posted a video of her dad playing with her son Jameson when he was young.

She captioned the clip, “I miss you, Dad. The kids do too. Sometimes I hate how time flies. Sometimes I hate how we have to be funny in order to avoid the hurt. Today it isn’t funny. Today it just hurts.”

“I’m glad you don’t anymore though. You don’t hurt. I hope they still call you twinkle toes and that you’re still getting out of line,” the Never Gonna Not Dance Again artist added.

Pink, 43, hoped that her father was “singing” along and making everyone laugh.

She wished, “I hope you feel this love, gone but not forgotten, Daddy Sir.”

In the video Jameson can be seen tapping the shoulder of his grandad.

“Hey you, why you hitting me?” Jim said in the clip.

He continued, “Did I find the soft spot, huh? Did I find the spot in that little belly, right there?”

Back in 2019, the renowned singer received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On the big occasion she paid tribute to her late father.

Pink said, “Today for me is a celebration of something that my dad taught me. And that is ‘to thine own self be true’.. There is a power in believing in yourself — you may not be the best that ever did it, you may not be the prettiest or the tallest of the funniest or the most talented.”

She concluded, “If you’re stubborn and you don’t give up and you work really hard — no one else can ever be you.”

Jim Moore fought in the Vietnam War and shared a very close bond with his daughter Pink.
