‘Wednesday’ star Percy Hynes White dropped from series after sexual assault charges
Percy Hynes White has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Toronto

Wednesday star Percy Hynes White, who was also nominated for Emmy-award has been casted out from the popular spooky series after sexual assault charges.
Hynes has been reportedly written out from the blockbuster hit Netflix show Wednesday, 9 months after the Canadian actor was accused of assaulting a woman in Toronto.
On January 18, an anonymous account accused him in a now-deleted Tweet. After the incident netizens started cancelling him.
The victim claimed that she had been sexually assaulted by Hynes at a party and further accused him of getting women drunk enough to have (expletive) with him.
An insider from the industry told Daily Mail, “Percy is wonderful young man, that's the truth. He never took part in any of the false claims again him, which were on Twitter and never followed up or substantiated.”
“Percy is respectful, gracious, talented actor, a true professional. He's unfailingly polite to all, including the crew and his fans, most of whom are loyal to him as it should be,” the statement further read.
“For Netflix to drop him from the show is a disgrace. It was just false rumors. It's just not right.”
In June, The Gifted famed star and his actor parents addressed the allegations on Instagram and called it a “campaign of misinformation.”
Hynes wrote, “Earlier this year, somebody I've never met started a campaign of misinformation about me online.”
He continued, “Because of this, my family has been doxxed, and my friends have received death threats. Underage photos of me were used, and examples of me acting in character were presented as hateful.”
“My friend Jane was falsely portrayed as a victim, and her attempts to set the record straight have been ignored. She gave me permission to include her in this message.”
The renowned actor played a character called Xavier Thorpe in Wednesday along with other stars including Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán.
