King Charles, aged 74, and Queen Camilla, aged 76, embarked on a three-day visit to France

King Charles and Queen Camilla were honored guests at a grand state banquet held at the illustrious Palace of Versailles in France.
The opulent event, hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, welcomed around 150 distinguished guests, including notable figures from both Britain and France.
King Charles, aged 74, and Queen Camilla, aged 76, embarked on a three-day visit to France, commencing with this regal banquet.
Versailles, once a French Royal Palace, served as the perfect backdrop for this historic occasion, despite now being a public museum.
The official Instagram page of the royal family shared a series of pictures from the event, captioning them with gratitude, "An honor to be hosted by President @EmmanuelMacron and Madame Macron for a State Banquet at the historic Palace of Versailles. Un honneur d'être accueilli par le Président Macron et Madame Macron pour un banquet d'État au Château de Versailles."
During the banquet, King Charles fondly reminisced about his parents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, and their significant visits to France.
He recounted, "My parents' first official visit together was to France in 1948, shortly after their wedding. By all accounts, they made quite a splash, dancing till the early hours at the glamorous Chez Carrere in the Rue Pierre Charron, serenaded by Edith Piaf. I suspect it may have left an indelible impression on me, even six months before I was born."
This royal visit solidified the enduring diplomatic ties and cultural exchanges between the United Kingdom and France.
