Dwayne Johnson raised funds for the victims of Maui wildfire


Dwayne Johnson has shared the progress of “People’s Fund of Maui” on the recent episode of Jimmy Fallon show.

The Rock made an appearance on one of the latest episodes of Jimmy Fallon’s show, Fallon Tonight.

During the hit show, he shared the progress of the funds and revealed that so far 8,000+ survivors have received their funds.

The Black Adam star posted a video clip from the show and captioned it, “Great talk with @FallonTonight on the incredible progress we’ve been making through our People’s Fund of Maui - for months now, 8,000+ survivors have been receiving their funds.”

The caption further read, “Huge mahalo to @BWForg and @CraigNewmark for stepping up and creating a $5M Natural Disaster Relief Fund for veterans and military families. The first donation from this fund will go to military families in need who are being served by our People’s Fund of Maui us.”

“Huge mahalo as well to our friends @PayPal and @Ancestry who’ve also stepped up with real action and with real mana. Encouraging to see these corporations rise to the occasion to help take care of own 8,000+ survivors with zero hesitation us.”

Previously, Dwayne received criticism for asking for donations despite being a millionaire. People were trolling him for not donating himself.

Then the renowned star addressed the controversy and issued an apology to his fans on Instagram.

The Rock mentioned in the apology that he used to be broke so knows how it feels when rich people ask for donations.
