Matt Bomer shared details about a unique audition experience for the Barbie movie.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, the 46-year-old actor disclosed that he submitted a self-tape audition for various roles of Ken, Barbie's iconic companion, showcasing different personas through distinct outfits and expressions.

Bomer, recognized for his roles in projects like Magic Mike and the miniseries Fellow Travelers, exhibited his dedication by recording lines for other characters and responding to them, creating a comprehensive audition tape.

He said, "I recorded it on my own, played a bunch of different Kens — and I dressed differently for all of them, I recorded the lines of the other person’s dialogue on my recorder and then gave myself space to respond."

However, despite the potential to join the star-studded cast of the Barbie movie, Bomer decided to prioritize his family over the silver screen.

The actor, who shares three children—son Kit and twin brothers Henry and Walker—with husband Simon Halls, chose to focus on spending quality time with his loved ones rather than committing to the hit film.

Bomer has been vocal about safeguarding his children from the public eye, emphasizing the importance of providing them with a normal childhood away from the pressures of the entertainment industry.

He said, "I don’t want anybody out on stage any time soon, I want them to have a nice, normal childhood."
