Robert Downey Jr. playfully addressed Robert De Niro's reaction to his 2024 Golden Globes win for Best Supporting Actor for Oppenheimer.
In a video obtained by TMZ on Wednesday, Downey Jr, who was spotted outside the sets of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, addressed the hilarious situation with De Niro, who mistakenly stood up during the award announcement.
Referring to De Niro's moment, who was nominated for the same category, the Iron Man star said in a light-hearted manner, "Nothing's better than losing."
Robert Downey Jr. celebrates 'Oppenheimer' triumph:
Robert Downey Jr. celebrated the success of Oppenheimer, which garnered several awards at 2024 Golden Globes.
Taking to his Instagram account on Tuesday, the Sherlock Holmes actor shared a post, featuring black and white pictures from the awards evening.
The post included a photo where Downey could be seen posing along with the cast of Oppenheimer.
Additionally, there was a shot of the Doolittle actor posing along with his Oppenheimer co-star Cillian Murphy, holding awards in their hands.
Other pictures showcased the 58-year-old actor posing happily with his wife Susan Downey, while another photo featured Downey Jr. cheerfully celebrating his victory with the award in his hand.
