Jamie Foxx geared up for a triumphant return as he reunited with co-star Cameron Diaz on the Back In Action set that marked his first appearance since a recent health scare.

Both were seen for the first time on the set of their upcoming film, Back in Action, in Atlanta, Georgia, since Foxx, 56, faced a health crisis in April 2023.

Both celebrities seemed cheerful in images acquired by Page Six, strolling outdoors together in laid-back attire. Diaz, 51, donned slim dark gray cargo pants with a white shirt and cream cardigan, while the Django Unchained star sported navy slacks and a dark gray sweater. They wore identical white sneakers.

When Foxx was admitted to the hospital on April 11, 2023, it was uncertain whether he still had pending scenes to shoot for the action-comedy.

Upon the revelation of his health scare by his daughter Corinne, his celebrity friends such as Tracy Morgan, Taraji P. Henson, Kerry Washington, and LeBron James took to social media to express their well-wishes for his recovery.

After conflicting reports circulated for weeks about his health and hospitalization, Foxx took to his Instagram page on May 3, 2023, to reassure fans that he was in the process of healing and expressed gratitude for their support.

On July 22, 2023, after receiving numerous uplifting messages from individuals in his circle, Foxx made a comeback on Instagram to address his situation.

Although he chose not to disclose the specifics of his experience, he affirmed that he never lost his vision or suffered paralysis, dispelling certain speculations.

“I went through something I thought I would never, ever go through,” he explained.

Foxx added, “I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear an update, but to be honest with you, I didn’t want you to see me like that, man.”

He continued, “I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie or a television show.”

“I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through,” Foxx shared.

The Ray star said, “I went to hell and back … And my road to recovery had some potholes as well. But I’m coming back. And I’m able to work.”

In August 2023, he mentioned that he was beginning to sense a return to his former self at last.
