The 96th Academy Awards announced the nomination list!
Emma Stone, Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Martin Scorsese, Lily Gladstone and others express a mix of emotions as they react to their Oscar nominations, showcasing a blend of gratitude and excitement.
The list of Academy Award nominations was revealed on Tuesday, January 24, in a live presentation presented by Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid.
The winners are scheduled to be declared at the 96th Oscars on Sunday, March 10, 2024.
Jimmy Kimmel will host the event from the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, and it will be broadcast live on ABC and in over 200 territories globally.
Cillian Murphy, who garnered the Oscars nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role in his blockbuster Oppenheimer has shared while conversing with the New York Times, ““It’s very, very humbling.”
He added, "I’m kind of a little in shock. It’s just a real honor to be involved in a film that has connected so powerfully with people in a way that we never expected.”
Emma Stone, who was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role in the film Poor Things has shared her thoughts on this triumph, “11 nominations for Poor Things feels like a surreal dream. I am beyond grateful to the Academy for including me as both an actress and producer among this group of exceptional nominees and for recognizing our film in so many categories.”
She further extended her congratulations to fellow Academy Award nominees, It’s the biggest honor just to be in your company.”

Martin Scorcese, who already an Academy award winner, now nominated for Best Director for his film Killers of the Flower Moon, expressed his gratitude, “It’s deeply gratifying to receive this recognition from the Academy, for myself and for so many of my collaborators on Killers of the Flower Moon.:
He shared, “It was a remarkable experience to make this picture, to work together with the Osage community to tell the story of a genuine American tragedy, hidden in the shadows of official culture for far too long.”
Scorcese reflected, “I only wish that Robbie Robertson had lived to see his work recognized—our many years of friendship and Robbie’s growing consciousness of his own Native heritage played a crucial role in my desire to get this film onscreen.”
Robert Downey Jr. after receiving a nod for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role in Oppenheimer opened up about his nomination, “Waking up to all of these nominations for Christopher Nolan and his many talented collaborators is an absolute delight. It’s been the honor of a lifetime to be part of the cinematic masterpiece that is Oppenheimer, and it's a privilege to be an Academy member nominated alongside such esteemed company.”
Lily Gladstone, who made a way in an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role category conveyed her thoughts, "I am so deeply grateful to the Academy for this unparalleled honor. It has been a great blessing in and of itself to be a working actor at all, and to get to tell a story like Killers of the Flower Moon is beyond what I could have ever hoped for.”
