Kevin Costner expresses 'strong suspicions' about ex-wife's new romance with Josh Connor

Kevin Costner has harboured "strong suspicions" concerning the romantic involvement of his ex-wife, Christine Baumgartner, with her new boyfriend, Josh Connor.

The Yellowstone actor had suspected that “something was going on between Christine and Josh,” a source informed Us Weekly.

The insider also added that the new couple's “close [bond] was a real elephant in the room.”

In May of the previous year, Baumgartner initiated divorce proceedings from The Bodyguard  star, marking the end of their almost two-decade-long marriage, attributing the split to “irreconcilable differences.”

The divorce concluded several months later in September, following a challenging legal process. Since then, she has found new companionship with a financier who, interestingly, used to be her neighbor.

Their relationship first surfaced when they were seen together during a trip to Hawaii in July of the same year.

According to the insider who shared information with Us Weekly, it was mentioned that the Oscar winner has likewise progressed in their personal life, “Christine doesn't think Kevin has anything to complain about.”

“Josh has been Christine's rock throughout the divorce ordeal. If Kevin has a problem with that, that's on him,” and, it was mentioned that the couple transitioned from a close friendship to a romantic relationship in a period that was deemed "relatively recently."

During their divorce proceedings in August 2023, Kevin asserted that he lacked concrete evidence regarding whether Baumgartner engaged in “extramarital” affairs.

However, he affirmed his own faithfulness throughout their marriage.

For the unversed, in September 2023, Kevin and Christine finalized their divorce agreement. 

They issued a collective statement, shared exclusively with DailyMail.com, expressing, “Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings.”

Throughout the duration of their marriage, the ex-spouses joyfully embraced the arrival of three children: 16-year-old Cayden, 14-year-old Hayes, and 13-year-old Grace.
