Leonardo DiCaprio sends love to Lily Gladstone for ‘creating history’ with first Oscars’ nod
Lily Gladstone was nominated for Oscars 2024 in the Best Actress category for ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’

Leonardo DiCaprio sang praises for her Killers of the Flower Moon Costar Lily Gladstone, who bagged her career’s first ever Oscars 2024 nomination for the Best Actress on 23 January, 2024.
Taking to his Instagram account on Thursday, the Titanic star shared a congratulatory note for Gladstone over this big milestone, with a portrait of her from Killers of the Flower Moon.
“Congratulations to my dear friend @LilyGladstone for making Oscars history, as the first Native American woman to be nominated for Best Actress in Killers of the Flower Moon, and the fourth Indigenous actress to ever earn a nomination in the category,” wrote the inception actor in the caption.

While expressing his gratitude for being a part of the film, Leonardo DiCaprio added, “And to this powerful film’s nine other nominations - telling this story with all of you has been an honor.”
This Instagram post in the not the only thing Leonardo did to show support for Gladstone, in fact he also felicitated her over text message.
Gladstone in her recent interview with Extra, revealed how the Wolf of the Wall Street actor has been supportive towards her, and celebrated her first Oscars’ nod.
“He was just so proud, and then I told him that I was watching with my parents and, ‘We’re celebrating me, but we’re also, like, collectively very pissed off for you,’ ”she said.
Lily Gladstone went on to gush over the 49-year-old actor, “He did such an incredible job in this, and, like, just, he made an impossible character just so vivid, and it made my job so much easier, so I really want to share this, this moment with him, but you know, he told me right before the Globes, ‘No matter the outcome, I think you’re amazing and I’m proud of you.'"
