Jennifer Hudson sent birthday wishes to her late brother Jason, honoring the memory on his special day.

Taking to her X account, Hudson shared a post, featuring two pictures of Jason, where in one photo, he smiled at the camera wearing a black T-shirt and leather jacket.

While in the other photo, Jason wore a "Detroit" jacket while eating.

The Dreamgirls actor wrote, "My brother Jason would have turned 45 today! he was always the biggest basketball fan."

"So #NBA All-Star weekend has become my birthday celebration for him! Happy heavenly birthday, Jason!!," she added.

This post came after the Respect actor announced on The Jennifer Hudson Show in late January that she would be participating in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in memory of her brother.

She told at that time, "His birthday was February 17th and he was big on basketball too."

"So that makes me a huge basketball fan and in honor of him I always make a point to celebrate his birthday that way," the 42-year-old star added.

In October 2008, Jason, Jennifer's mother Darnell Donerson, and her 7-year-old nephew Julian King were killed in the Englewood neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side.

Jennifer's former brother-in-law, William Balfour, was found guilty of the murders and is now serving a life sentence in prison.
