Selena Gomez has cleared the air as she addressed a viral statement regarding her music career, clarifying misconceptions surrounding her "one more album" comment.

The Only Murders In The Building said in a podcast, “I feel like I have one more album in me.”

While conversing in an interview with Rolling Stone, Gomez, 31, shared, “It’s not that it’s, ‘no, never’” about her music career, but she might take long “breaks” due to emphasize more on her acting career.

The Wolves singer said, “I think it’s natural for people to take breaks, but I think for me, there is a whole other aspect to my life, pride and joy”

Gomez who is currently in a relationship with music producer Benny Blanco, continued about pursuing an acting career, “I love film. I love TV. I just feel like I haven’t done a lot of the things that I want to do in that space.”

She elaborated that, she is not outright rejecting music she is interested in delving further into the acting, as she said “It’s not that it’s ‘no, never’ [to music], it’s more that I would like to explore that world a bit more and have the time to actually do that.”

“I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting,” Gomez added.

Selena Gomez recently dropped her first single of 2024 “Love On’ on February 22, 2024, and she announced as an executive producer on an upcoming reboot of The Wizards of Waverly Place.
