Millie Bobby Brown has  defended her self against the critics who were offended by her accent transition.

The Damsel actress recently raised concerns last week about her British accent change and criticised her for speaking “differently” while conversing in an interview on Jimmy Fallon’s show The Tonight Show.

In a recent interview with the TikTok host Max Balegde on Friday, Brown set the records straight as she clarified the apprehensions regarding her accent switch from British to American.

The Stranger Things star made it clear by stating, "I'm an actor. I grew up in the public eye. I grew up in America. I come to set and I'm an actor and I adapt. And so I want to mimic people."

Brown further revealed she swiftly adopts people’s accents, she said, “I can't help that when I'm around my fiancé or when I'm around people like Jimmy Fallon, who has a very American accent, I wanna replicate it.”

While clarifying, the Enola Holmes starlet shared that now she is in England and she can adopt her British accent

Brown mentioned, “I don't do it intentionally and I'm sorry if it offends you. But listen, I'm trying my best!”

The host then intonated, “She's Millie Bobby Brown and she can speak how she wants.”
