Julia Roberts recently showered praise on Ryan Gosling's portrayal of "Ken" in the hit 2023 film Barbie, dubbing it as "remarkable.”
During the conversation with PEOPLE about her favourite Oscar-nominated films while attending an intimate dinner hosted by Chopard at the Château Marmont in Los Angeles on Friday, The Notting Hills starlet hailed on The Notebook star’s performance in Greta Gerwig’s hit.
Roberts shared, "I met Ryan recently, a few times, and when you bring such dimension to a performance, it's remarkable,” adding about the film, she said, "Barbie was so unique and new."

The Ocean's Eleven star who also received Oscar for Best Actress in 2001 for her performance in Erin Brockovich, also opened up about the pressure on nominees ahead of the ceremony and how they cope with it.
Roberts said, “The craziness, the getting ready,” adding, “You just have to embrace it all, almost like a sporting event, as you're going through it.”
The Ben Is Back actress also advised against having thick skin when it comes to social media commentary as it can have a negative impact.
On the work front, Roberts was last seen in the Netflix film, Leave the World Behind, alongside Ethan Hawke and Mahershala Ali.
