Emma Stone won Oscar for Best Actress in 'Poor Things'

Emma Stone caught attention with her reaction to Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel's joke about her film Poor Things.

After the clip aired, Kimmel quipped, “Those were all the parts of 'Poor Things' that we’re allowed to show on TV,” alluding to the film's uninhibited sexual content.

Stone, who starred in the film, was seen turning to her husband, Dave McCary, rolling her eyes, shaking her head, and muttering a few words, which many interpreted as “Oh my god.”

Stone's response sparked discussion online, with viewers debating whether the joke was in poor taste or if Stone was simply reacting to the awkwardness of the moment.

As per PEOPLE report, representatives for the actress have not commented on the incident.

However, Poor Things, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, went on to win several Oscars that night, including Best Actress for Stone herself.

In her acceptance speech, Stone thanked her husband and their daughter, Louise Jean, with a lyric from a Taylor Swift song.

She said, “And, most importantly, my daughter, who's gonna be 3 in three days and has turned our lives Technicolor,”

Quoting Taylor Swift’s song, Bigger Than The Whole Sky, she added, “I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl.”
