Meghan Markle's latest business venture, American Riviera Orchard, has raised questions about its authenticity following its debut on Instagram.

As per Mirror report, the Duchess of Sussex introduced her new brand on Instagram, accompanied by brand's logo only, leaving fans curious.

While American Riviera Orchard promises to be a lifestyle and cookery brand, tied to an upcoming Netflix cooking show, some concerns have emerged regarding its sudden surge in followers.

PR expert Ryan McCormick told the outlet, he suspected that the brand's 'most of those followers are fake.'

He said, “From a PR perspective, I don't find the launch of American Riviera Orchard impressive in any capacity. The company's Instagram page has over 518,000 followers. I'm highly suspicious that most of those followers are fake.”

“Aside from the fact that of a half-million people started following the account in such a short window, they don't show the number of likes on each post... this is a major red flag,” he added.

McCormick also pointed out, “When you go to American Riviera Orchard's website is there a mission statement, a product line, anything about the company? No.”

He suggested that “Meghan blew a big opportunity,” adding, “If she had products ready to do and then got all this attention, sales would probably be healthy.”
